According to the latest report, the Chief Secretary of the Mizoram government said preparations are being made to withdraw the FIR on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He noted that Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga had no approval to give FIR in the name of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.


He in addition referenced that he would possibly pull out Himanta Biswa Sarma's name from the FIR if there have been no legitimate obstacles.


After telephonic discussions with Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Assam-Mizoram bother line tense with Himanta Biswa Sarma and Mizoram Chief Minister Zormathanga, Mizoram Chief Minister consented to figure out the border line hassle with Assam.


The agitated Assam-Mizoram border dispute is now in a state of discontinuation but efforts are on to find a positive solution. Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has urged no person to travel to Mizoram so that situation between the two state do not turn to normalcy.

He expressed his concern in filing the FIR in Mizoram as the place of  incidents was in protected area within Assam state.


No vehicle carrying essential commodities or passengers from Assam has entered Mizoram since the day of the arms clash i.e. Monday, Said Lalsawimawa, officer-in-chief of Vairengte police station. 


Mizoram Home Secretary Lalbiaksangi in his letter to the Union Additional Home Secretary in charge of the Northeast said vehicles carriing Covid-19 items like essential commodities and test kits were enclosed in Lailapur-Dholai area of Cachar district of Assam on national highway-306.


In the meantime, expressing concern over Mizoram's activities, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa  Sarma noted that he would be "exceptionally happy" to have co-operation in the investigation process and also questioned the reasons for which it was not assigned to the fair body. Mizoram police filed the FIR on chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as well as six more officials. The same was made public on Friday. No case, reacting to the game, Sarma tweeted, "Will be extremely happy to take part in any investigation".


One more development took place between Assam and Nagaland state. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Saturday to withdraw forces from border to the base camp of the respective state. Disclosed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through a Twitter message.
