 Jonaki Times: Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the government of India and who want to build their careers in the Indian navy. the total approximate vacancies in ARTIFICER APPRENTICE(AA) AND SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS(SSR) ARE 500 AND 2000 respectively in the February 2022 batch.

Age Limit:


Candidates should be born between 01st February 2002 to 31st January 2005.


Pay and Allowances: 


During the training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the defense Pay Matrix Rs.21,700 - Rs.69,100. In addition, they will be paid MSP @5200/- per month plus DA plus 'X' Group pay (only for AA) @3600 per month plus DA as under trainee and Rs.6200/- per month plus DA on successful completion of AICTE recognized diploma Course.

Initial Engagement: 

The initial engagement is subjected to the successful completion of training. The initial engagement is for 20 years for AA and 15 years for SSR.


Perquisites: 


a) During the entire training period and thereafter, sailors are given books, reading materials, uniforms, food, and accommodation as per entitlement.

b) Sailors are entitled to medical treatment, Leave Travel Concession for self and dependents, Group Housing Benefits, and other privileges. Sailors are also entitled to Annual and Casual Leave, Children Education, and House Rent Allowances. 

c) Insurance cover (on contribution) of Rs.50 lakhs for sailors is applicable.


 Educational Qualifications:


For AA and SSR 10+2 with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths and Physics and at least one subject from Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science from the recognized boards.


Selection Criteria:


Due to Covid 19 pandemic, approximately 10,000 candidates will be called for written examination on the basis of qualifying marks in the 10+2 examination. The cut-off marks may vary from state to state as per vacancies in a state-wise manner.

The entire selection process will be based on a Written Examination followed by Physical Fitness Test. (For details go through the official advertisement attached herewith.)
